Dr. Lisette Bonano (Ret. US Army LTC) is a highly experienced and decorated U.S. Army veteran with 28 years of service, holding prior TS/SCI clearance and professional military training in Human Resources, Intelligence, Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations. Fluent in Spanish and educated in International Relations, Educational Leadership, and Theology. These areas bring a uniquely diverse background combining leadership, international diplomacy, personnel management, and cross-cultural communication. Her military service includes key roles at USSOUTHCOM, EUCOM, SOCOM, and the Joint Staff Pentagon, where she directed multinational operations, served as a high-level interpreter to a USMC four star general, served as the Joint Staff plans and U.S. Delegate to the International Defense Board, managed military personnel, and led civil-military initiatives across Latin America and the Middle East, including work in Iraq and Afghanistan training foreign military on Inspector General functions.
Dr. Bonano has held significant advisory and operational roles on the Joint Staff, led initiatives in gender inclusion, human rights, civil affairs, and managed large, diverse teams across branches and international missions. Her educational credentials are complemented by numerous certifications in military operations and leadership. In civilian roles, she has continued her service-oriented mission as a political candidate, community leader, and faith ambassador, actively involved in Republican and Christian advocacy organizations. Dr. Bonano’s career reflects deep expertise in personnel operations, security strategy, and international affairs, driven by a foundation of integrity, professionalism, and service.
